Imelda Rey, Head of Engagement and Communications for the Gathering Team, Fáilte Ireland

Imelda is an experienced tourism professional with over 13 years working in both the outbound and inbound tourism field. Having spent 7 years as Marketing Manager in Joe Walsh Tours, she joined Fáilte Ireland in 2006 where she has managed a diverse product portfolio from Health and Wellness to Festivals and Business Tourism to Culture and Heritage. Imelda was responsible for leading a number of exciting projects including the development of a new positioning strategy and categorization system for the Health and Wellness Sector and the development and launch of the Animation Fund for visitor attractions. Imelda has now taken up the position as Head of Engagement and Communications for the Gathering Team.
